      What is the HV Hexagon Bolt   ?

      An HV bolt refers to a high-strength preloaded hexagonal head bolt assembly. Its name is derived from the German term Hochfest Vorgespannt, where “Hochfest” means high-strength and “Vorgespannt” denotes preloaded. High-strength bolts typically refer to pre-tensioned bolt assemblies, including structural bolts, nuts, and washers that conform to EN 14399-4 standards, and are widely used in prestressed steel structures.

      WHAT THE HV SET CONSISTS OF?

      The HV bolt assembly includes the following bolts, nuts, and washers:
      • 1 x HV 10.9 grade hexagonal head bolt, hot-dip galvanized, conforming to EN 14399-4 standard
      • 1 x HV 10 grade hexagonal nut, hot-dip galvanized, conforming to EN 14399-4 standard
      • 2 or 3 x HV 300-370 HV washers, hot-dip galvanized, conforming to EN 14399-6 standard
      According to EN 14399-6 standard, high-strength bolt assemblies also include washers. All system components (bolts, nuts, and washers) must be sourced from the same manufacturer.

      WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HR AND HV?

      HR and HV are both preloaded high-strength bolt assemblies compliant with the EN 14399 standard for steel structure connections.  HV :Derived from the German term hochfest vorgespannt, it represents the German-style preloaded bolt system. Its related standards correspond to EN 14399 – 4, and its previous corresponding DIN standard is DIN 6914.
      HR:The abbreviation of high resistance, it represents the British – French style high – strength preloaded bolt system. It complies with EN 14399 – 3, and there is no corresponding old DIN standard like HV.
